So, Christmas is around the bend and I am broke and have tons of commissions to do. La de daaaaaaa. Oh, I got a new job though. :/ .... its ok. I'm not being paid that much though hahah.

But anyways, I need to update some pricings. I had lowered all my prices for the moving/cat emergency, but now things are more stable, so I'm bringing them back up again. Also I have lots to do right now, so I'd rather not take anymore orders for the prices I was charging.

Sketch Commissions are now $20.00. Sketch Commissions are a fullbody shot of one character ($10.00 for additional characters) And they include fairly refined lines (not as high quality as inked lines, but not particularly messy) as well as flat tones with minor gradients/shading.

Painted-Style Bust shots are $20.00 as well ($10.00 per additional character)-

Painted-Style Waist shots are $40.00-ish. Prices are subject to change depending on level of detail, amount of design input required by artist, and level of difficulty with the pose. For example, a fully designed character with reference shots available and a simple pose would cost less than a character I have to design myself based off of a description, in a complicated pose involving dynamic angles and such. ($20.00 per additional character)- Includes simple background layout. Full landscape backgrounds (buildings, forests, etc. are priced according to the level of detail and difficulty desired.)

These prices are just a basic guideline.... there are many things that affect the overal price in the end. I just wanted to give people a BASIC guideline of where my prices fall... Once again, they are subject to change depending on the request.

That is the list so far... as far as I know all the paymment status' are up to date, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

I am still accepting new orders... but I can't actually work on anything right now.. so just know that you will be put on a waiting list if you do order something.

So, as you all know, I am moving soon.. like, really soon. I need to be out by the 20th. Obviously that means that things are hectic, and funds are low, what with bill disconnection and reconnection fees, U-haul fees, [link].
But I mean, it was crazy, and we knew we were pushing it financially but we were going to make it...

BUT. our cat Mana was recently rushed to the emergency room of the vet... she's suffering from severe dehydration and starvation because she can't eat or drink anymore.. we're not sure why, but theories point to a throat infection. We'd noticed something was up for a while... she was losing weight and being a little weird, but we hoped it would pass.. Stupid move, and now we all feel terrible because within the last few days she got steadily worse, and last night she got awful. She's home now... and we're nursing her, giving her water through syringes and stuff... we get the bloodwork results back in a few days, so if she lives that long then we'll know hopefully what's wrong.
So, anyone who isn't rich and who owns a pet knows what vet fees are like. JUST for them to TEST her, it cost nearly $400.00. And that was just for one day... if they find further complications after the results get back, the fee's are going to jump through the roof, and we just CAN'T afford that right now. We have no reserves left after paying that bill... if anything comes up before payday, we're screwed. And even then we're struggling.

So. DA, I need your help. I'm opening up commissions hardcore right now... I'll take anything right now.

First off, my $15.00 sketch commissions are back down to $10.00. I'm desperate, so I will pump these out as fast as I can. If you want to order them, please please please do. I can do these right now, and you'll get them fast. here's some examples of sketch commissions: [link]

Second, if you want a refined commission (Lineart, painted style, busts, waist shots, fullbodies, backgrounds, etc. etc. etc.) they are on sale for 50% off. Which means a fullbodied portrait in painted style, which would normally cost $50.00-$70.00 is on for $25.00-$30.00.

Basically the prices are as follows
Painted bust shots: were $20.00, now $10.00
Paintd waist shots: were $40.00, now $20.00
Painted Fullbodies: were $70.00, now $35.00

these prices ARE subject to change slightly based on level of detail in character, and how much design I have to do... (if the character is already complete, it will cost less than one I have to build based on a description) I'm not going to change the prices as much as I used to though.


Please note that all commissions are going to be placed in order on a waiting list, and I'll do them one by one. Sketch commissions will take priority over refined commissions, because they can get done so much faster. I just really need people to order commissions ahead of time right now, and pay right now. But, if you only want to do the half now, half when its done deal, I'm willing to do that as well. I need all the funds I can get! I'm going to be working my ass off!!

ya so, those of you who watch may have already read her journal. She sold her house, and I am her roommate, so I'm moving with her to the next place. We have to be out by the 20th, so I'm not going to be active on DA for a while.

Well. It finally happened. The fear has been lingering at the back of my mind for some time now.
My deviation entitled "South Park StanXKyle" has been deleted by DA.

here is their message to me:

"Your deviation South Park :: Stan X Kyle :: was reported for Prohibited Content. The report was reviewed by a member of the Staff and action was taken, deleting the deviation and marking the report as Resolved. Additionally, the following comment was provided:

A member of staff has reviewed a report concerning this deviation and has determined that the characters depicted in a nude or erotic fashion are established as being underage.

Official policy, as outlined in the FAQ, does not allow fictional characters who are underage to be depicted in this manner so this deviation has been removed."




Frankly... I'm not upset per se... I'm... disappointed and amused. Disappointed that it had to be deleted... I mean, it was my most popular picture. I'm also disappointed that some ass 'tard had their panties in a knot over two kissing boys who just so happened to be underage in the show. Trust me, they weren't 8 years old in the picture, and I had the pubic hair to prove it!
But at the same time.....

I didn't even like that picture. XD. It took me no more than one short sitting to colour, and not even that long to draw. It was incredibly simple, and had some strong anatomical errors. When it reached 1000 favs I was shocked and amazed. When it got close to 2000 favs I was just like "omg wtf."
It was a picture that summed up DA really. It wasn't well drawn, but it was smutty and sexy. And it was by FAR the most popular picture in my gallery. In some ways I was disappointed that it was the most popular, because it sure as hell wasn't the one I put the most work into.
hence the amusement. It was (technically) against DA policy, BUT... people loved it. It had the most views, most comments, and most favs out of all my pictures. I'm going to miss having a picture with nearly 2,000 favs (had it lived for a few months longer, I think I could have reached that goal)
*sigh*

I dunno... I'm bummed. I'm not furious... It is a case of stupid, uptight whiny bitches reporting a picture that really wasn't so bad. But at the same time I do agree that it WAS against the rules... I guess... bleh.
