Artist's Comments

Phew....I hope this image looks alright on other moniters...I have a very bright LCD screen, so it looks fine on my comp, but will probably mutate into a dark blob so that you can't see any of the details. *sigh*
Well, Its finally pretty much finished. Tis Link from the legend of Zelda. That game was one of my first fandoms ever...I would draw link and zelda kissing using reference from the scenes of Peter Parker and Mary Jane from my spiderman comics XD
For this picture though, I used reference and inspiration from Hyung-tae Kim a little...I wanted link to have a new flare to his outfit, so I tinkered around with it a little. I hope that it still looks like link and keeps his original vibe.
I guess you could say this is my concept of what I'd like him to look like in a new game. I even had a story behind him and the faerie.
Its like, Link needs to get through the lost woods, but can't because...they're the lost woods. So he craftily captures an unlucky faerie floating around and ties her to his sword using magic threads. She can't get away until she guides him through the forest. Kinda a darker theme than most of his other partnerships, but I'm sure they'll become friends over time. ^^

Anyways, once again, I hope the colours and such look ok on your monitors. If you find that its too dark or too light, then just let me know and I'll try to fix it and find a universal balance that everyone likes. ^_^

This is gorgeous. The attention to detail is amazing. Every time I scroll back down to look at his tunic, I notice something new. I just caught sight of stitching on the pants! The colors also work really well. It does seem to be a little dark on my screen, but it adds to the overall mood of the picture. Fantastic job!

WOW!

You did a great job. This is one of the few Links I have seen that is really a personal one. I like the sad look in his eyes.

By the way, nice details you added. I love the Keaton mask on the sword.

Dark and enchanting! This is really amazing (and I can see it just fine.) I like what you've done with his outfit--it works nicely for him, and that's the most interesting fairy I've seen to date. Very cool, very cool.

This is awesome; it's got a really nice science fiction-y feel to it that's rather uncommon in the Zelda fandom. Very well done.

Great style! The fairy especially is a change in the right direction.
